What IAPont is for
IAPont brings a source-centred document workflow into the browser. You can open a supported document, work on its Markdown source, inspect the rendered result, check document information and prepare several output formats.
Supported formats and limits
The supported scope includes Markdown, TXT, IAPont document JSON, supported text-based PDFs and unprotected EPUB files. A scanned PDF without a text layer requires OCR, which is not included. PDF and EPUB extraction must be reviewed and does not guarantee an exact reproduction of layout or reading order.
Edit and preview
The Markdown source remains the reference document while you work. Rendering profiles help you inspect different presentations without silently changing the source content.
Document information and checks
Document information can accompany the source and selected exports. Suggestions derived from the text are not presented as AI-generated summaries. You can review and edit them before applying any change.
Export and keep a copy
Depending on the prepared content, IAPont can export Markdown, HTML, TXT, JSON, JSONL or ZIP packages. The local vault uses browser storage. It is not cross-device sync and it is not a permanent external backup.
Prepare for RAG / OAM uses
IAPont can prepare passages and metadata for document workflows related to RAG. It is not a question-answering engine by itself and is not a complete OAM implementation.
